After quite a while I have finally finished working on my latest Nokia Symbian OS 9 premium symbian theme called The Flare. This mobile theme is compatible with a variation of handsets like N96, N97, N95 8gb, the 5th edition 5800 Xpress Music, N92, N95, N80, N82, E71, E50, E66, 6120 etc and many more.

This premium yet free Nokia theme is based on a simple concept: all that is innovative in the world of Series 60 Symbian OS. Designed and developed for the new generation of mobile devices of N-Series and E-Series this theme focuses on usability in the real life. This mobile theme is a SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) based which I hope you will admire as one of the better ones in the market. It is quite lightweight considering that the icons are completely customized to be user friendly.

Text visibility on different phones with different screen resolutions of Nokia have always been a roadblock for any Nokia UI Developer and this was no different. Took me a while to test the readability on various phones every time I chose a color or changed it as the same properties of a text appeared against completely different color variations on different phones.

Symbian Signed by my personal key pairs there should not be any trouble viewing this as a multi dimensional theme both signed and unsigned compatibility. When packed it ended up being less than 611 KB only which will certainly not hamper your daily phone operation or performance in any way.

Microsoft has just released Windows7 Bangla LIP (Language Interface pack) which allows you to change Windows 7 display language from English to Bengali. You can download the Windows 7 Bengali LIP here

How to Install Language Information Pack in Windows7

The following steps work with any language pack for Windows7, you can use the below mentioned methods to install new display languages in Windows7.
1. Once you have downloaded the Language information pack from the Microsoft website, double click the LIP file and choose the language you want to install.

2. Click “Next” and you will be asked to select Windows7 display language. Choose the newer language and click “Change Display Language”

3. This will install the desired language pack in Windows7 and you will be asked to ‘Log off” from the current Windows user account for the changes to take effect. Log off and then log back in to see the newer display language installed in Windows 7.
Here is how my Windows7 installation looks once I installed the “Bangla” display language on my laptop:

2. This will open a new explorer window, switch to the third tab and choose the default Windows 7 language you were using earlier.

3. You will be asked to Log off from the current user account for the changes to take effect. Save all your current work , log off and then log back in to see the default langauge working in Windows7.
